Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This policy sets out the general basis on which deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Bab Al Zahra Events. Specific terms for your event are set out in your signed service agreement, which prevails over this page.

Draft — pending legal review. This document is a template based on standard UAE practice and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have it verified before relying on it.

1. Deposits and booking

A booking is confirmed only once a written agreement is signed and any required deposit is received. Deposits secure your date and allow us to commit to venues and suppliers on your behalf. Unless expressly stated otherwise in your agreement, deposits are non-refundable.

2. Payment schedule

Payments are due according to the schedule set out in your service agreement. Where full payment is not received by the agreed dates, we may suspend work or treat the booking as cancelled. All amounts are exclusive of applicable taxes, including UAE VAT where relevant.

3. Cancellation by the client

If you cancel a confirmed event, cancellation charges will apply to cover costs already incurred and non-recoverable commitments made to third-party suppliers. As a general guide, charges typically increase the closer the cancellation is to the event date. The exact scale of charges is defined in your service agreement.

4. Changes and postponement

Requests to change the date, scope, or specification of an event are subject to availability and may result in additional charges. Amounts already paid may, at our discretion, be applied to a rescheduled event, subject to any supplier terms and re-booking costs.

5. Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to circumstances within our control, we will refund amounts paid for services not yet delivered. We are not liable for cancellations or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see “Force majeure” below).

6. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control — including natural disasters, government action, restrictions, or other force majeure events. In such cases we will work with you in good faith to reschedule where possible. Third-party amounts already committed may be non-refundable.

7. Refund processing

Where a refund is due, it will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period after the amount is confirmed, net of any non-recoverable costs and applicable charges.
